The founder of Sound of Life, Laurens Vehmeijer, has worked for more than 40 years as an executive consultant. In the last decade he was mainly working as a boardroom consultant and a teacher. In recent decades he has seen a structural and large-scale overvaluation of technical efficiency emerge; a development at the expense of small scale, quality and human effectiveness. As a result, many people have come to live in a “survival mode.”

From the conviction that life is more than survival, and that everyone can be his own benchmark, he has developed the BlueScan. The core values of Sound of Life are:
